Moses Brown School is pleased to announce the opening of the Gorgi Family Squash & Education Center, a twelve-court squash facility (including doubles) with classrooms, study space, and a pro shop.  Additionally, this facility will be the home of SquashBusters in Providence and the Nicol Squash Club, which welcomes the public and will offer experts and newcomers the opportunity to learn and play squash easily and affordably.

The Nicol Squash Club will be operated and directed by renowned world champion Peter Nicol, offering memberships, lessons, league play, and his signature junior coaching program.  Dramatically increasing the number of affordable squash courts in Rhode Island, the club will also host weekend tournaments and have an on-site pro shop with racquet stringing service.

The club’s resident pro will be six-time Irish national champion Arthur Gaskin, a highly experienced coach who has worked with top US squash juniors and coached alongside Peter Nicol for years. Nicol will also be present on a monthly basis to oversee operations, assist in coaching the junior program, and direct programming. As two of the most respected squash coaches in the world, the arrival of Nicol and Gaskin in Providence–together with the opening of the Gorgi Center–establishes Rhode Island as one of the preeminent squash destinations in the world.  “Growing up in Scotland, the squash club was affordable and open to the whole community,” says Nicol. “It was a place that brought people together. I couldn't me more proud and grateful to be a part of this new type of club in the US.”
